Dedicated teams and specialist expertise

We understand the needs of new migrants. We have dedicated teams of migrant banking specialists, many of whom are migrants themselves. They can help your clients make a successful transition to their new country.

  • Our New Resident Services team have a wealth of experience in helping people new to the country, and can provide support both before and after your clients arrive in New Zealand. Your clients can even open an account and deposit money in it before they arrive - we can have their New Zealand bank account ready and waiting for them when they get here, saving a lot of time and hassle.
    Account opening criteria applies. Accounts will not be active for withdrawals until your client’s arrival in New Zealand. On arrival, your client will need to complete our account Mandate forms and provide original identification documentation (e.g. passport). A maximum of NZ$1 million may be transferred prior to arrival. All transfers into the account must be made by International Money Transfer.
  • Our Asian Banking team is staffed by Asian language speakers. They work with migrants in the language they are most comfortable with to help them set up their banking requirements.
  • Our Business Banking team specialises in helping new and recent migrants set-up, fund, manage and grow their business. Your clients will have their own dedicated Business Banking Manager who understands business, speaks several languages and can help you establish and build your business in New Zealand.
  • Our Private Banking team offers a personalised service aimed at helping clients create, manage and protect their wealth. Your client will have a dedicated Private Banker who will work with them to gain an understanding of their situation and needs across the spectrum. They will then make recommendations and tailor services to meet your client’s specific requirements.
